QUEER NOTES
One of subplots is about a camp character Pinkoo who is the brother of the main villain. He is in love with Prem Uncle and wants to win him over at any cost. There is even a dance set in a bar that is a gay parody of a popular Bollywood song where Pinkoo tries to woo Prem Uncle. A police officer Inspector Sher Singh is madly in love with Pinkoo. Though the comedy is over the top and at times gross, this was one of the first film that dealt with a gay man openly. Pinkoo even openly sings a ditty as he walks on the road - 'aadmi hoon aadmi se pyaar karta hoon (I'm a man who loves another man)'!
ACTOR/S IN QUEER ROLE
Anupam Kher as Pinkoo (gay)
