SYNOPSIS

Three young men share stories about their lives in the Mumbai (Bombay) sex trade. Married tailor Imran's family know nothing about his career as a part-time prostitute; Shakeel, a bisexual village migrant, works as an extra in Bollywood; and Vicky is a proudly effeminate dancer who enjoys performing as a woman in traditional tamasha performance.

QUEER NOTES

This enlightening and taboo-breaking film explores the secret underground world of male sex workers in India. Few other documentaries have succeeded in getting such significant access into the different strands of home and family life along with the more predictable business side.

ACTOR/S IN QUEER ROLE

Imran, Shakeel & Vicky as themselves (gay / bisexual men)
